Sexual Warfare

Avoidance of sexual sin is always possible for anyone who prepares themselves for the sexual temptation that is common in the world.

The common argument from some women is that women should not have to change how they dress and that men should simply control themselves.  That is almost true.  What these women miss is that, while men must control themselves, these women are making life difficult or more difficult for men for no reason.

First, note that any one sexual self-control principle by itself is not necessarily enough to equip you to avoid sexual temptation and/or sexual sin.  Second, we will start with principles that all normal adults know. The Avoidance Principle is: Avoid every source of temptation.  

God works in different ways.  Suffice it to say (it is enough to say) that reliance on God increases your odds of avoiding temptation and sin.

Sexual self-control is always possible for a person who intends to do the right thing and is fully informed in the principles of sexual self-control.  A large percentage of the world’s population is not fully informed in the principles of sexual self-control.

Sexual curiosity is the desire to know something of a sexual nature.  Sexual curiosity is not a sin.  However, satisfying sexual curiosity can be a sin.  Satisfying sexual curiosity is a sin when you know that it might or will involve temptation.
